Sounds like it's on it's last leg, I would be thinking of chipping it if it was mine.

Well just do what Code-Runner said, install a chip and you should be fine.
If the chip works than you will have to leave the chip in at all times.\

no, its either a bad flash, or bad software on the box

@ ghilliemarine1: the duox2 is the cheapest chip, and to install it requires soldering...

i have a special running for 50 dollars, gets you 1 duox2 installed, and shipped back to your house... 50 for everything. PM me if that sounds good.

You have a "coma console".  Do a search and you will find the solution.  Basically you do need to install a chip.  The only way to truly "fix" the unit is with a 29 wire mod and then reflash the TSOP.  However installing any chip will provide a work around, you just won't be able to boot the stock M$ bios.

Unless you are playing Xbox Live I wouldn't worry about fixing the TSOP.  Get yourself a simpiler (not 29 wire) modchip and get that installed.

OK well there are plenty of tutorials on Xbox-Scene. Just go on the main page and then click tutorials. As for your dvd tray not opening when you click eject and it just flashes green it sounds to me like your DVD-ROM is dirty inside and the rubber band is sliding. That happened with one of my Samsungs I had because it was dirty inside so I just cleaned it and now it works fine. As for the other stuff you mentioned it sounds like your Xbox is dying. I would just TSOP it or chip it. Saves buying another Xbox wink.gif

The DVD drive won't open if its in a coma, use the emergency eject hole to open it.

My xbox is doing the same thing. I have a question though.

You say you need a chip in order for the xbox to boot again? Well, I want to go on xbox live. So, could I reflash my chip with the retail bios? Would that work? Or would I need a hacked bios?
