Using Xbox Hdd In Pc
« on: August 28, 2005, 06:01:00 AM »

Hey guys,

is it possible to use the default xbox harddisk (8GB WesternDigital) in my PC?
I wanna use it for testing 'beta' OSs ... so i thought it might be possible to use my old xbox drive.
but when i try to install an OS, fdisk says that it's not able to access that drive !?

what do i have to do in order to use the harddisk?

thx

You need to unlock the hard drive before you can use it in your computer.

You can unlock the drive with ConfigMagic, or even a Slayer's auto-installer disc. Both are available from Xbins.
