Hmmm....looks legit, not to mention massive.

EDIT (BJ): Do that again, and you will be banned (that is, if you don't get banned for this anyway.)

Pulling crap like posting an image that's 65kx65k is definitely a banning offense.

I'm guessing you don't like having access to X-S any more.

Did I miss something ?

Rightclick that pic and download it so you can view it with another tool than your Iex6. The server sends in crap for some reason (possibly not mirx fault), but if you download it, it works perfectly. On that pic you see some nerdy-kid sitting in front of his parents TV with a phantom-prototype.
Please check things a little before giving away warnings or edit posts...  rolleyes.gif

Well, he linked it as an inline image here. 65k x 65k image size means it's an image bomb.

We've banned people for pulling that sort of thing here in the past.

I've just downloaded it, and the picture does indeed seem to be fine, but it still doesn't excuse posting it as is. I'm assuming his server is hosing things up (or the image was changed at some point).

I don't know what exactly happened, but last night, after he posted this, the image was hosing up the forums and the browser big time.

Today, clicking on the link seems to redirect to http://apisnetworks.com/bigline.gif, so there's definitely something very odd about the link.

At this point, I'm willing to concede that mirx999 did not intend for what happened, but he should have seen the problem when his post was displayed after submission and immediately corrected the situation (though it's also possible the correct image might have been sitting in his cache at that point, so it never got redirected to whatever crap thing that server did last night.

dude, BenJeremy I'm sorry about that.  I didn't expect that to happen (the pic seemed just fine right after I posted it).  Won't happen again.

Thanks.

In retrospect, I do think you did not intend for the results.

I would suggest questioning any image sources from the .cx domain in the future, though.... we've had trouble with web hosts pulling a switcheroo on URLs in the past (no-ip.com seems to be notorious for occasionally redirecting pages to porn ads, for example), so I can understand how this might have happened.

Here's the image hosted on my own server space (after "Save As" did recover the correct image):

I said this in the MODERATOR forum.. and I'll repeat it here.

BENJ did the RIGHT thing.

Members are resposnsible for what they post.  If they post a pic using the IMG or HTML tag.. they are responsible for the contents.

BENJ is not required to use 15 different methods to figure out how a pic is to be downloaded or viewed.  If there are to be any special viewing instructions for something.. it should be posted BEFORE the link is given.

The original post.. was simply an INLINE pic with dimensions that make it appear as an image bomb.

MIRX has said his apologies.  The issue is closed.  BENJ did his job.  All mods should be as quick as he is to catch shit.

Issue is closed.

An Image Bomb is an image defined as being so large, that IE tries to allocate memory for it, and geenrates a HUGE memory/hard drive space allocation, and the result is usually a system crash.

Anyone ever looked at the back of the 3d mock-up of the Phantom? If it's supposed to be a Broadband only system...why then, is there a phone jack?

I label thee to be FAKE, as I have since day one biggrin.gif

Ethernet Jacks or NIC , LAN , looks like a regular phone jack but is not , phone jacks only haves 4 contacts , while ethernet ports have 8 contacts , same with the phone cables have 4 cables inside while Ethernet type cables have 8 cables inside ,  dry.gif  get some glasses before you speak , that digital magnifying shit isnt there for nothing use it.
