Switch Thompson W/ Samsung?
« on: August 27, 2005, 05:11:00 PM »

I recently got a Samsung Xbox disc drive from my friend, but all he gave me was the drive itself, no cables or anything. I have a Thompson drive in my Xbox now, and I would like to replace it with the Samsung. Will all the cables be compatible with the Samsung drive? Was the Xbox made to recognize only the drive that came with it?

ROFL funny. Thanks smile.gif. Yeah I know, wrong forum, eh.

All the tutorials I've found on the site here are tuts for replacing with a Samsung SD-616T and the one I have is the SDG-605. ALl I have to do is connect the sable with the Samsung and everything'll be fine?
