Is there a numerical error code up in the upper left hand corner on the error screen?  If there is and you can post that perhaps people could further help you.  I know how frustrating this stuff can be.  Good luck!

Where are your LED's getting power from?  Do you also have any cathodes?  I was getting an error 7 for awhile while having a faulty cathode plugged into splitter behind my hdd.

If your lights are drawing from the same power as your hdd then try disconnecting them first and see if that fixes your problem.

well an xbox one is a pc one. just make sure that you get an IDE drive, AND NOT A SATA DRIVE.
