Xboxhdm Lock?

Hi i was wondering if anyone knows how to lock the hard drive in xboxhmd ive coped all the stuff so now i press 3 to lock it i typed in hdlock and hdlock-a and they both ask for a password, so whats the point of putting the eeprom in there?

The point of putting the eeprom in there is so your hdd can be locked :P
