Hello everybody,

I've got XBOX v. 1.1 and recently my DVD (philips) forgot how to read DVD but learned to read all types of CDs.
It turned out that my DVD-ROM in PC is LG GDR-8162B. I checked the tutorials and learned that there are tutorials for LG 8160 and 8163. I believed that at least one of these will be suitable for LG 8162 but it doesn't.

Currently, the LG DVD is connected to my xbox and can read all dvd games (copies only) supposing I am booting with the disk inside, but If I run any dashboard first and then any kind of disk (CD/DVD , audio/video) all programs like XBMC, xcommander, DVD2HDD) give a message "tray open" or "no disk".
If I make them to read the DVD anyway - it tries to read the directories and finally "no disk". It was quite easy to foresee but there is one thing I can't understand at all.
If I run any dashboard and then XB Media Player it can read and play CD with divx movie. All other aplications can't do it while this one can.

My questions:

1. Did somebody make LG GDR-8162B fully functional drive for XBOX?
or
2. If really nobody can help, how to fix all programs not to check if "tray is open" or not or to set the default "tray is closed"?
