2.) IF it is the drive that matters, stay away from MAXTOR... i dont know if it seems like it to you, but a lot of them claim to be "un
lockable"
3.) For god sakes, get a 7200 rpm drive... there is no point to search for a 5400. They are becoming hard to find, and besides, there's no point. I dont think anyone with a 7200 rpm(there are lots of us) has had any problem with overheating.
4.) Western Digital RULES! Have always used them, always will... No problems with anything EVER.
By the way, my WD1200JB (7200rpm 8mb cashe) locked on the first try. Maybe my first hunch was wrong, and I did just have a "hit," but that seems strange to me.
