The error code will be displayed in the top left in white text.

If you look there when you get the error screen you'll deffinatly see it.

Okay, nevermind about the error code, google is my friend

It means "Locking Harddrive failed".

What does that mean? I was able to install Evo on it, so why does it suddenly fail? I know the HD has to be "lockable" if it's supposed to work properly but I don't quite understand what it means, technically. Do I have to get another harddive?

To be able to get to the M$ dash your drive has to be locked or you will get the error 05, meaning your hdd is not locked... go here to see if your hdd is lockable http://xboxdrives.x-pec.com/... if you have evox 3935 dash installed you can lock the drive with it, just go into the setting menu and lock it...

hi i get the sme thing but my error is 13 and im new and i cant ftp i dont have the ethernet cable for it what can i do all i did was delete evox cos it fucked up on me.now i get error 13 everything works fine my games load up i can save my games i just cant get in to the start up even when i switch my modchip of i get call cutermer support. i dont no what im doing i dont no what dashboard i need all i no my auto installer was salyers evox installer 2.6 any help i will be great full. ohh and when i turn on my modchip i can get into my evox but my options are. ms dashboard wich i cant get into reboot / power off / settings / and backup ohh and when i go into settings i have unknown bios plz helppppppp my xbox is all i have my ps2 is not modded

It's not in the list, I took the risk to buy it without it appearing there. I was positive about it being lockable because all other Samsungs with like 150GB+ were lockable, but maybe this one isn't. I'm not sure.

what version is your xbox? if its a 1.6, its is possible that you and teh disc has the old version of Configmagic, which does not support 1.6 boxes.
