What Digital Audio Input Does The Xbox Use?
« on: September 23, 2002, 10:54:00 PM »

I'm planning on getting an XBox real soon, but I need to know what kind of digital audio connection does it uses?  Is it optical or coaxial?  I have a receiver that has two optical and two coaxial inputs, but the optical inputs are currently occupied by a DVD player and the PS2.

Go with a Monster Cable optical cord.  Games sound incredible using a receiver that supports Dolby Digital 5.1 surround.

IMHO, the cheapest optical cable will do. I really don't think the amount of sheilding matters on a 4' fiber optic cable. You'll get the same sound, but the cable may not look as 'cool'.

just my opinion.
