« on: June 20, 2005, 03:56:00 PM »

I have this wireless game adapter.

I am planning on building it into my xbox. Here is the Voltage 5V, 1.0A. Will I be able to run this off of my xbox hdd power source, and how do is test which is positive and which is ground for the power adapter for the thing, thanks.

If it runs off of 5V DC then you should be able to wire it up. As for checking the positive and negative why not cut off the AC adapter part (the box that plugs into the wall) and wire that wire onto a HDD power splitter. One of the wires on the adapter should have a white stripe or some other identification to tell which is power and which is ground (the one with the stripe is power).
