I have an xbox hard drive that is locked and I still want to be able to use it. It was locked with configmagic in my xbox, but that xbox crapped out on me so i dont have it to unlock the drive with. What app should I use to unlock it using the master password "TEAMASSEMBLY"

? Ive tried xboxhdm and hdunlock but those dont do anything, it just says 'done' and then the drive is still locked when i try to use it. any ideas???

You'll need the password from the old Xbox EEPROM and then something like xboxhdm I think .... do a search in the forums or look in the usual place for PC Apps.

Cant unlock it without the password outta the old box though, so far as I know.

What's the point of configmagic setting a "master password" of TEAMASSEMBLY then??? Shouldnt I be able to unlock it using that "master password"??

yes you can unlock with master pass but is case sentive and how do you know the drive is still locked?

I know its locked because the xbox it was in fragged out. I think I would know if my drive was locked or not.... Anyways I've tried unlocking it using xboxhdm and hdunlock using "TEAMASSEMBLY" as the password and it never works. Is there some other program I need to use to unlock it using the master password???

you have to unlock it, then dissable HDD locking (2 steps)

ok......but how do i unlock it with the master password??? ive tried it in hdunlock and xboxhdm and it doesnt work. what program should I use to unlock it with the master password?

Requirements

2) Drive must be on the primary IDE channel ( Master Or Slave).
3) If your drive seems to not want to unlock You can run UnLockx.exe two times "NO Reboot" and it will unlock your drive.
Some bios will not reset the drive after a unlock.

ok if the hddkey is what i need to unlock it then why does it ask for a "password". as well, what is the point of the master password TEAMASSEMBLY if i cant unlock the drive with it???
