Hello I kind of have a long problem. Xbox 1.0 Spider chip 1.0. I opened the xbox desoldered the lpc holes. Went to screw the spider chip in but the screw hole is partially stripped. When I put the washer under the chip the screw will not grip. When I do not use the washer the chip does not sit right but the screw grips. Problem 2 I can only get the chip to boot when I hold the chip down at a weird angle and it only happens very rarely. Is thare anything I can do to fix this problem? Longer screw but what screw do I use. Solder the chip But what do I do about the d0 point. I can find it on the back of the board but ware do I solder it to.
Plus I can't find anyplace to buy the pin headers. The only real electronics store around me is radio shack. I check their web sight but no pin headers. I would rather not solder. But if I have to I have to. Any ideas why the chip wont boot when I hold it down. All help would be greatly appreciated.
