Anybody Having Issues Connecting To Live? (belkin Wireless?)

Im using the Belkin Pre-N wireless router.  Im having issues connecting on Live.  I have my connection selected, and even with everything typed in on manual im getting failed on finding IP address.  Why is this, any assistance?

Mainly you have to enter your information to make sure all is correct. Basically if your subnet is 255.255.255.0 class c then use that. To make it easy, type in cmd or "command" prompt and then type in ipconfig /all and that will show you everything on your connection. If you only have one computer in the house then your internal IP may be 192.168.1.100 like mine is. So your xbox may be 192.168.1.101 or a similar config. Hope that helps a little.

The thing is, when I select automatic it pulls a 169 IP address.  When I do it manually, I have my IP address as 192.168.2.13 (I use 2-12 for various other computers/things), Subnet as 255.255.255.0, and Gateway as 192.168.2.1 which are all defaults for my router.  My router uses DHCP and the range of 192.168.2.2-192.168.2.100.  I don't know what the issue could possibly be because I have 4/5 bars reception with the usb wireless adapter and I cant get the IP address to work.

OK, now this is wierd.  My router works when wired straight into my Xbox, but not when I am trying to use it wirelessly with the same exact settings.  However, I set up a Netgear router plugged into my Belkin router and I can get connected via that Netgear router wireless.  That means I have ruled out that the router is incompatible, I have ruled out that the 360 is faulty, I have ruled out that the wireless adapter is faulty.  What else is there?  Could there possibly be some setting that is preventing me from being able to obtain an IP address from my Belkin router?

Interestingly, on automatic, if I am connected to Belkin it pulls up a 169 IP address while the Netgear pulls up the right one.  This makes me think that the router is not allowing it to connect maybe, but why would that be true if it works wired directly?
