You are an even bigger "dickhead" for having a go at him.
Fact this PSU did need repairing (does not matter what caused it) The solution may not be really neat but at least he found a solution that works for him and its not going to move, and he took the time to post the pictures and everything so at least he is trying to help and offer something (more than you are). So get off his back and let him be.

???  I dont understand why you guys are lambasting him for trying to improve his psu.  Truth is that most of the people are kids who just want to play video games on a non-faulty machine.  Its been proven that over time and lots of use the xbox psu can be damaged.  Why would ms have felt the need to put out the bogus fix?  Anyways its assholes like you that shy people away from even posting tutorials or making software.  In effect if the scene had more people like you, it would not have become as successful as it is.  Go post somewhere else.

Oh and nice fix on the psu musashi.  I did something similar to the first box i got 3 years ago and it hasnt crackled since.

You mentioned that the picture was taken after resoldering but if you look at the above picture you can see that the other terminals have crack where the solder is on the terminal, you might want to resolder them or it will burn/spark on the other terminals.

everyone flaming shut up, this is a good tut for someone that needs to fix their xbox and doesnt care what 2 square inches of the back looks like. at least he is being helpful and doing something with his time and helping others, instead of sitting around and being assholes to people online. props to mushashix2 for taking the time to make the tut.
