Halo Always Looking For Games
« on: April 09, 2004, 04:16:00 AM »

My modded box can be seen under  local x-boxes in X-Link and I can join a room in X-Link but Halo never finds the room.

I am using a netgear dg814 router and ports are forwarded to the IP of my host PC.  Zonealarm & norton have been disabled.  I have tried a few different rooms with PAL setting but I never seem to join...

Any help out there?

BTW - using XP pro on host machine  <

What country are you from?

See http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=194994

Also you need to have a fast connection to have halo working properly!
Try another game!  <

I doubt it's a connection speed issue -  when I first found out about tunneling, my friend had 56k, but we wanted to test to see if it would work... He could join the game and it would work for about a second before lagging out and kicking him from the game.

So, in my experience, connection speed shouldn't affect your XBox seeing the game or others from seeing your game.

Yea, DIE-HARD's question is probably the best thing, what country are you from? - there are different types of PAL, so just because someone is in the PAL room dosen't mean they will definitely be compatible ;)   <
