Hi there, everything seems to be working okay; I can see rooms, see my xbox in messenger, etc. I created a room last night and had a friend join, we tried with a couple of different games, but ran into the same problem no matter who created the session. We could each see the session, but upon trying to join it said 'failed to join the game'. We both have the same versions of the games, so I'm pretty sure that's not the problem.

Any ideas what we can try next? Thanks in advance... <

No, no firewalls...a netgear router on my end, and a linux router on his, the two ports are forwarded. <

hmmm Okay, it could be my router I guess. My friend said he got it working after we tried with someone else, so maybe I'll try on my own tonight and see if I can get it working. If not maybe it's the router, I know that this Netgear RT314 isn't compatible with Xbox Live... <

So, it turns out that the problem seems to be just between my friend and I. I can connect to other games, as can he has well. Very strange, I'm not sure what the problem is, but it must be connection related somehow. Thanks for the info... <
