Problem With Rc2
« on: April 08, 2004, 03:57:00 PM »

Hi all,

I had everything up and running with RC2 but tehe I reinstalled my pc, and now when I install RC2 it wont even pick up my network card i.e. its blank in network adaptor setting.

My connection works withj XBMP and XBMC so I know its not the Card.

ANy ideas just trying to use this while KAI is down.

I don't know if it will help, but when you change versions of WinPCap (uninstall it and install a different version) the uninstaller wont always remove "packet.dll". This can cause problems because the older version of packet.dll has slightly different routines than the newer versions, and can cause problems...

So when you uninstall WinPCap, go to your WINDOWS/System32 folder and delete packet.dll. Then restart your PC and install the different version of WinPCap that you want to try.

WinPCap 3.1 is in beta stages now, I've been using that since it's release with no problems, and I'm using both Kai and XBC with no problems at all.

Hope that helps anyone ;)
