first off let me apolagise for putting this up twice, i  added it to the wrong place and dont know how to del the other post.

Ok so i didnt have any luck with x-link so i loaded Kai instead and bingo it logged in > wooohoooo
its says kai online and i can c users in the general section, for some reason when ever i add a user to my contacts it always says offline. And also if i got to an area and go into any of the rooms i.e ( Unreal) theres no one in any of them.

Does any one know y

also now and then i get users connectign and it says ping 90ms etc.. but what do i do after that.
For somereason when i load bo-xlink on my xbox it just says awaiting connection and my hub light goes mad...

Am i doin something wrong, its just i cant figure out how to join or play a game.

First off, you're not reading PINNED threads about RC3.

XLink RC2 Omega would not you log in until it could pass through data on UDP 34518 and 34519. That's why you couldn't log in. Now with RC3 Kai, you aren't forced to create any port-forwards etc. This is why you can log in, simply because the code is different. There is still no guarantee you'll be able to get everything going (although it seems as though you'll be OK). RC3 Kai randomly choses a port number to communicate on, thus eliminating port-forwarding for the majority of users.

That's because they have to add you to their list too.

That's because it's a BETA and you won't find that many people on it as compared to RC2 Omega.

Depending on whether you were in Messenger mode (My XLink) or Arena Mode, if you see someone's ping, you're almost ready to play. If you're in Arena Mode, once a Remote XBox or GameCube has been detected, it will show under that users name as '1 XBox, 0 GCN'. If you see pings to him / her, then you're ready to play. Go to your XBox or GameCube, load the game, and head to the system link section. Either join a game already running (if the game supports it, and if someone is actually hosting), or talk to someone to organise hosting / joining a server.

In Messenger Mode, it works much the same way. Once you have a contact online and in Messenger Mode, you're ready to play. Use the PM function to talk to them privately. You *WON'T* be able to play anyone not on your list appearing as online and in Messenger Mode, showing a ping as well.

Like I said, read the PINNED threads. Bo-XLink WILL NOT work with RC3 Kai.

thnx very much mate that was a big help, as far as i can tell i have forwarded the ports 34518 & 9 but i kept getting the prob saying that xlink sever could not connect to my pc.. I have tried to my about with my router loads and i cant seem to do it.

Its a shame i cant get into X-link atm, cos its sounds like tones of fun, and a well cool app. But i will have a go at this kai for a bit and c if i can get a game goin.

ok i think i've finally got it, thnx to some nice peeps on the board, Kai can c my xbox cos if i goto performace section i can c my xbox mac adress.

I have setup a host game of brute force and i am sitting in the brute force arena. So i think im write in saying all i have to do now is wait for someone to come along.

You do realise XLink is both RC2 Omega and RC3 Kai?
