Router Troubles
« on: January 23, 2004, 04:01:00 PM »

First off, thanks to the developers and loyal support group.

I'm having trouble seeing my local box on my setup.
I can see WGN & Rooms.
I don't see anything under messenger topics.

SMC 7004AWBR barricade wireless router
Cat5 to PC
Wireless to Linksys Gaming Adapter to xbox

Xlink on my PC seems to work.  I see incoming traffic.
XBox doesn't send any outgoing traffic.

I forwarded the right ports.
I've set my Router to Static IP.
I can ping and FTP my Xbox.
I set my "real MAC" form to xbox MAC.
I cleared the WET11 form.

Here is my xtest.

[7:45:13 PM] Tests complete... post in the forum if you need to.

I've read and searched and pulled my hair out for 3 days.
Could it be my router settings?  If yes, does anyone have any xperience setting one of these routers up?  I searched  and saw a post on "Barricade" that someone used a "xs.exe" file.  I'm not familiar with that file and have looked in all the "right" places.

I'm die'n to get my ass-kicked online.
TIA :uhh:

Also, will I know when my box is online?  (Will my name be under the "local" in messenger?)  <

Router Troubles

That was something dumb on my behalf.  My bad.

That got me onto the Xlink network.

But, I still have something screwed up.
In the user list, my ping rate is 0 and I'm "looking for games".
I can see my outgoing meter jumping up to 1200-1500.

Something must be wrong with my router settings.
I'm trying everything.

Anyone with more experience have any ideas?

TIA again. uhh.gif

Nevermind.  I just rand downstairs.  There was my first online Halo game.  I got crushed 50 to 3.  It was awesome!!! beerchug.gif
