Loss Of Connection
« on: January 21, 2004, 12:08:00 PM »

Great program here!!! Excellent work to you guys!!!

I was able to set this up fairly easy.  No problem forewarding ports.  I installed the update as well no prob.  I was in rooms mode and looking to join a halo game.  I launched the dvd from my dvd drive on my xbox and selected system link and sat and waited as it said "looking for games"

After a little while one came up and I joined it.  The game started after a few minutes and I was able to play the game no problem (it was just me and 1 other person)  so I figured i was all set.  A little later I tried to get into a few more games with more people which i did, but after a minute of playing it froze and then "connection loss" and I had to restart.  No biggie, so I joined another one and same thing.....got into the game, played a few minutes and then connection lost.

I figured maybe it was HALO, so I will try to get into a game of rainbow six 3 later and see if that is any better.

Is this normal to lose connection??  I dont have to reboot my computer, nor my xbox, but i do have to wait to join another game and sometimes that takes a while, and it is discouraging to get into a game and play for a minute and then connection lost and having to restart.

btw I use a dlink router, i got no errors setting up the program, it launches no prob, I can view messenger mode, wgn mode and rooms mode no problem, I can launch the dvd from bo-xlink all good.  When it finds a game i can join no problem.  I have high speed cable modem and all is well with that.  I was in NTSC rooms so i dont think that was and issue.

If you have any ideas please let me no.  I just want to make sure that Im all set up right.

Thanks in advance  <
