here is a link to the thread explaining how to mod the LG 8163B dvd rom to work in your xbox INCLUDING reading originals, but NOT cd-r

this link is to page 49 so go back and read a few pages before this to work out what to do - all the instructions are there and it's confirmed as working

the firmware is in the usual place - if you grab it make sure you get the 'fixed' one

re-eject not working.
Power off-power on: nothing

My PC not booting, then modded lg8163 connected the ide cable. Drive is fault? How to rflashing for the original or other firmware?

if i did what the picture shows will it work
i read in the othere fourm and in there they do it differently
