I tried to point out a few things for you, but you seem to have a really unusual network setup that you think is best for whatever reason.

All this setup stuff should be simple for a pro like yourself, I know xlink works great on my setup. I have 2 nics in the pc.

Maybe the guys at XBC will coddle you a bit more so you dont get your feelings hurt.

sounds as if your nics arent being detected. what os and have you reloaded the nic drivers?

Basically, xlink tells me that the server cant communicate with my pc on the 2 ports, yada yada, im sure you've seen the error.
I am running an openbsd 3.4 box as my gateway/firewall

Everything seems to look right here, but like I said...it doesnt work.
Strangely, everything else works fine, I am able to forward connections to other machines for xbconnect, pasv ftp, ssh, bit torrent, DCC, and http with 0 problems.

My hope is that someone is using openbsd for their gateway and give let me know if there is something I am missing

That 192.168.0.2 is the problem..

So..

a. Make sure ure using build 2.2.4  -  pinned topic..

b. Go into your profile on xboxlink.co.uk - ensure theres nothing in the Static Ip bit near the bottom..

Then you should be fine..

it is said on the xlink site that the software only can recognize MAC starting with 0050... now my "non-dev" xbox has a different one. That's why i couldn't get a local xbox, despite trying, and trying....

Did you have to force the MAC address for xbox live? IF so - blank it out

Also, if you have the debug bios, reset that MAC too - it interferes....

Failing that, I have heard about a new xbox MAC prefix... if you have that, then I'm sorry - you will need to wait a while for XLink Kai - which will fix it... XBC has fixed that already though - so you could play there in the meantime..
(I would like some beta ppl with weird xbox mac's tho - so plz sign up 4 the beta (pinned ) )

I saw the screens and I'm willing to play with xlink VERY much.

I have xbox live, but most of my friends do not, so if you fix this, you would please a LOT of people
