Modded a new 1.6v xbox (1) for a friend with a xecuter 2.6, 120g hd, and evox v8 bios. It has been modded for about 3 weeks. I put his gamertag (1) on this xbox (1) and the same gamertag (1) is on another friends xbox (2). Xbox (2) has been modded for almost 2 years with xecuter 2.3b, a seagate 120g hd, and xecuter 4981 bios.  Yesterday xbox (1) went on line and got banned. Dont know what they did because they wont own up to it. Now today I tried to log on with xbox (2) and gamertag (2) to find that xbox (2) has been banned.  Now remember xbox (2) has two gamertags on it 1 and 2. The 4981 bios does not allow you to log onto xboxlive. What happened? I know part of the solution is in finding out what my friend did but I know he wont give a straight answer.

well when one got banned the gamertag was flagged, which caused the other to get banned due to the large HD

as to why the first one got banned, probably something simple, broken marriage, login with chip enabled (even Live blocking bios arent perfect)

could be hacking on Live or negative feedback that caused the GT to be flagged too, which would get both boxes banned as well

The second xbox has been modded for almost a 2 years and the 4981 bios disconnects the ethernet. Are you saying they searched the no. 2 xbox hd, because I have everything booting from F drive including the dash. So how would they know it is modded if the original bios does not recognize F drive? The first gamertag is working fine on another xbox, although it is unmodded.

To answer your question, Safrole, the only reason gamertag 1 is on xbox 2 is so when he comes over he can play under his own gamertag. The owner of xbox 2 would never use gamertag 1, he would use his own (gamertag 2)

it tricks software into thinking the ethernet is disconnected, its not foolproof

when a gamertag is flagged they query HD make and model number, if its not a stock HD they ban you

this is perfectly consistant with a flagged GT, it will work fine with a stock HD

this wouldnt result in a ban anyway, it would just either not let xbox #2 online, or boot xbox #1 off



as i said, there is also a possibility your GT was flagged due to feedback left on Live, sometimes youll get feedback saying your cheating in H2 if you have a laggy connection (they think your trying to standby glitch) or if your just too good (they say your using hacked profiles)

i had multiple accounts on one xbox and then the accounts expired. so i deleted them from the xbox. then i created a new account on the xbox. the xbox was banned, and i guess the gamertag i was using at the time was flagged. so my question is would all my previous accounts be flagged aswell?

no, only the one you were actually using at the time of the ban, any other accounts on your xbox are fine

and it wouldnt be the GT you used when logging in to find yourself banned, it would be the one you were using when you actually were banned

thanks but im pretty sure i was banned with the account i had found myself banned on cuz the other accounts expired a few weeks before and im pretty sure i got banned for having the xdk on my C: drive... yea im dumb

well you can only get banned while signed in to Live, so if you were using the new GT for a while before you got banned then yeah, thast the flagged one, if you foudn the xbox was banned when you tried to make the new account another GT must be flagged

having xdk wouldnt get you banned

yea i signed into my already created gt when i got banned but are you sure having the xdk wouldnt get me banned? or at least flagged? cuz i did have it on a bigger hard drive, so maybe it got me flagged and then they saw my new hd
