Hi, I am just wondering where is Xbox Live stored?

Does anyone know - oh, and also how come when you copy it on the Memory card and take it over a friends house, it doesn't come up in the memory card?

Your live account is also stored in your hard drive just like in the memory card, on the FAT table, that's why you have a limit of 1 account per memory card and I believe is 8 accounts per hard drive, the bigger the FAT, the more info it can hold.

Unfortunately, it can't be accessed or found as a file. So, to back it up, all you have is a memory card, or account recovery.

So would it be under C:\ or E:\UTDATA and E\TDATA?

If so, do you guys no where it is? I have something that I am working on and just want to try something out.

Oh, it has to be on the harddrive some where, I mean - it isn't stored on the eeprom or anything...

...and then why would it let me copy it on the memory card but not...

itss tored on teh partitons table of FATx, its not a file, repeat IT IS NOT A FILE YOU CAN COPY

you can copy it to the mem card becard because the MS dash is designed to read and interpret the partiton table and pick out the Live accounts, but your FTP client cant read it

and no, there is no client, no patch, no app, no nothing that will allow you to FTP a Live account, and its never been a problem for anyway becuase even if you dont have a memory card you can just use account recovery

i doubt AR will read it, since its storeed in the partiton table, then also there would ne no way to store it on your PC, since i doubt the FAT32 or NTFS partition table can hold a Live account, lol

"oh, and also how come when you copy it on the Memory card and take it over a friends house, it doesn't come up in the memory card?", I'm getting this, if I try to transfer any save (exploit or genuine) through Action Replay it appears to have been copied to the card, but if I remove the card and put it back in the controller on my pc / xbox, it can't read it, (the XBOX and Action Replay can't see the save, but space on the card has been used up). I just drag the .zip to the left section, right? No "click here to actually move files" button?

I'm using one of these, not an official XBOX mem' pack, though it is apparantly fully licensed.

I've tried transfering my saves from 2 different computers, didn't work from either.

If I transfer a save from the XBOX to the card, both the XBOX and AR can see the save, the problem only arises when I try to put a file on there from AR.

For some reason it won't let me edit again...

Just noticed, formatting with AR does nothing, I'm still able to see files the XBOX wrote. I get the idea (my) AR only reads...

as for the AR, you sure the card isnt write protected? my mxk has alittle read-only tab

Is it meant to be necessary to pull the card out and reinsert it everytime you do anything on AR?

Definitely no read-only tab, I can't write or delete through AR, US or EU version on either computer. (I have a third, will try tomorrow.)

I'm using a working home-made XBOX-USB cable to link the controller (and in turn the mem' card) to my PC, it works for use as a gamepad and I can read saves from the card.

When I try to delete a save / format the card the orange bar moves as you would expect, but if I refresh (involves reinserting card) the file is still there. And no read-only switch.

I tried the US version of AR, same thing. I tried XBMEM + OZXMEMORY but XBMEM doesn't seem to work... ever. (No removable-drive appears on My Computer.)

Don't suppose AR could be incompatible with my card...? Can't see how that would be possible, but what other explanation is there.

Is there such a thing as a Windows driver that lets you browse an XBOX mem card when formatted with FATX? Would be mightily useful and conventient.

Ok, latest update, seems I can use up space on the card from AR, but without adding any files...

I also get this MaxMem install thing a lot, it doesn't seem to remember the driver, or something...
