Last year i baught a live pack and it clearly stated back then when the 12 months are up you will be billed 5 pounds a month for each month following until you either renew your service or cancell the service.

well it seems 12 months later they changed that without any warning to me and i fuckin guarantee they had this planned from the start im fuckin gutted they have done this, how many other peaple here they caught like this as there is no way i would have renewed it i havent used my live service for around 5 months.

Actually with most anything else you have to read fine print. After your 12 months is up, you can either pay another 50 bucks for the full 12 months or pay monthly.

If you do monthly it'll say that it's like $5.99 or the current price. So you could end up paying more.

MS or "M$" as you put it is not trying to rip you off they have costs for XBL. Maintenance on servers and upgrades cost money. I for one am more than willing to pay $50 a year to get a online game service that is constenly maintained and upgraded with minimal lag on most games. <

sorry for the rant but it clearly did state that after 12 months is up it would continue to charge me £5 per month every month after until i either cancell the account or change it to a monthly subscription this has changed now and it automatically just takes payment for the next 12 months giving you no option to change back.

agreed tho it was a rant i woke up to find this out was in a shit mood to say the least

there is a place on the m$dash to indicate your preference for type of service you prefer and you can change it anytime BEFORE your annual renewal date. when you complete the signup process, you are given the choice of monthly or annual service... <

just call up MS (im not sure what the eruopean number for it is. it should be in any xbox game instruction book) and tell them that you didnt want to charged and they will give you a refund. <
