I had that problem long ago. I don't have a whireless router though, But all I did was upgraded my firmware version. Try that, and if it doesn't work, try downgrading it to a prior version.
I am using the latest version of kai station (the firmware for the router made by the people at kai xlink, could that be the problem?

Also, whenever it connects, do you experience slow transfer speeds when FTPing ?
You have to set your IP addy in your ava configuration file. And DHCP shouldn't make a difference for FTPing. You should have it enabled. Also, setting your network card to Duplex could bring some problems with transfer speeds.
When it is connected to the internet, it seems to be going at a pretty high speed, but as it stands now, I cannot ftp into it at all. As for the DHCP settings, I was under the impression that if it is enabled it doesnt matter what my settings are, I thought that it set everything for me, is that incorrect? Where would I check to see if my network card is set to duplex?

I had a very odd problem like that once. I have a MS Wireless Router (piece of s***). In the living room I have it connected to the router with some patch cable, and in the bedroom I have a Linksys Wireless Game Adapter connected to the Game Cube and another XBox. But basically, it would only let me FTP to my modded XBox in the bedroom (on IP 192.168.2.9), but not in the living room (same IP). Oddly when I reinstalled the OS on our file server it started working in both rooms.
That doesnt sound to promising, I really don't want to reformat, but I guess if all else fails...
