Xbox Live Not Found...
« on: February 04, 2005, 09:58:00 PM »

When I first had my xbox, I put a 120gb hdd and an xecuter 2.3b pro chip in it. Then registered with live and never had problems.

No my hdd just took a dump and rarly works now. So I got a new maxtor hdd 120gb and installed it and formatted it with slayers disk. I then copied over C:, and E:(EVERYTHING)from the old hdd to the new one. Now my guess is that is where I fucked up. I didn't put that much on it yet so it won't be to hard to redo. Plus I did just put a new EEPROM in there too so they are both virgins.

But whenever I try to go on live(through router, router with upnp off, through modem, etc) it won't let me. I even tried differen't ip settings and everything but still says xbox live not found. Everything else is ok.

Now my two questions are:
1. When I format my hdd, do I need the file disk.bin to be in slayers hdd format for it to work on live?

2. Do I only copy over E:\UDATA(I think saved games)when installing a new harddrive or will it hurt to copy all of it over including c:?

Thanks

EDIT
I also remember I put the ORIGINAL hdd in with my original eeprom and went to live to do an account recovery but wouldn't let me. So that might have been a ban right there, but like I said, I do have a virgin eeprom and hdd in there. My point is that the original hdd and eeprom let me go into xbox live account recovery, where my new eeprom and hdd won't. <
