<_< Is it possible to make it clear to me'ok been on live for 4 months now with a stock xbox.

Have read all the posts but i am a little confused,can i mod with an x3 and a bigger hard drive and play on live as long as the drive is locked and the chip is switched off.

Do i need to flash the eprom.Also when you talk about the eprom do you actually remove and replace the eprom.

Hope this makes sense.

I'll reply on eeprom...No they don't mean actuallly taking the chip out completely..they mean the DATA on eeprom.  read this http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=324186&hl=

If the hd has been used on another box that was banned am i stuffed.

If you put in a new harddrive they will look at the hd key and see that it is different and then ban you.

Incorrect. They will look at the hard disk drive serial number. The serial number is stored on the disk drive and is impossible to change.

More importantly, to the person who originally stated the question:

You are getting way ahead of yourself. Enjoy playing on Live for right now and look at possibly modding your box. You shouldn't jump right in to trying to play with a modded box on Xbox Live.

Start with getting your box modded with an X3 and all stock hardware (HDD, DVD, Etc.) and familiarize yourself with the things you can do with a modded box. Then look at possibly upgrading your drive. Then, after you have messed around with loading games on your HDD and stuff. then you can think about trying to use live on a modded box.

Not meaning to sound trollish, but if you take it one step at a time, you will have much better results.

Just a tip, I have my old stock HDD with nothing whatsoever on it that I use for live, and I switch to my upgraded HDD when I want to play "backec up" games.

There are many many ways to accomplish what you want, and you will find one that suits you. Just take it slow, so you know what you are doing every step of the way. It will make it easier when you screw things up (trust me, I did)

right ok.

do you have some sort of switch between drives or do you take your xbox apart everytime to change drives?
