Can I Do This?

On my current PC I have my ethernet card and a wireless card. I connect to my network through the wireless card. I however wish to know if it's possible to connect the xbox to my pc's ethernet port and then use the wireless to connect to xbox live through the PC? Or do I have to buy a wireless adapter?

Nope, I tried to do the exact same thing as you to connect my box. For some reason a PC cannot operate a LAN and a Wirelss at the same time. I just made myself a 10 metre long Ethernet cable and use that.
