Not Enough Hard Disk Space
« on: December 07, 2004, 09:18:00 PM »

stat: xbox v 1.5
       x-ecuter 2 pro
evox, and 60GB drive, and i have like 20GB left.

I just purchased a year subscription to xbox live w/crimson skies, and now i am trying to get it on...lol, trying. Everytime i click on xbox live on the dash, it says it needs to do an update and then comes up with an error (no number), saying "Unable to copy. There might not be enough space on the Xbox hard disk."

I changed my routers dmz to 192.168.1.102, which is what i use in evox...but i am not in evox so it could be anything right???? i tried to check the network settings but instead it just goes right to xbox live update, so i cannot even check the ip address or dns(s). I did some looking around and found that this error had something to do with a soundtrack copy error.

Soundtrack Copy Error1="Unable to copy. There might not be enough space on the Xbox hard disk."

I tried this forum but i didnt come up with anything. I checked the settings and noticed that since the drive is locked that c\ shows up as 0 avail...that is supposed to be like that right?

What do you think guys.

Thanks all,

~Raredesign~

What custom apps do you have on C:? Even though you have 20 free GIGs, it's doesn't contribute to the whole HD, it contributes to F:

HAHA OMG...I am such a LAMO when I havent sleept...can you believe that I thought it said O MB for C\ cause it was locked...when I had actually filled it up almost exactly to the max. I just deleted some crap and got 78MB avail and it worked.

For something as dumb as that, please feel free to slap (flame) me mulitple times.
