I think there is about 1892160000 seconds in "an age" (being a year). Anyways, I have no mod chip, but I have an audio exploit that boots up the M8 bios. I dont have Halo 2 either. But I do have Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow, and ive done some timings. It takes me about 8 or 9 seconds to log into Xbox Live when im not downloading anything. Then I went to the first Rainbow Six 3, and it took me about 2 seconds to log in. I did this in the same time period, not over a couple days. I also wasnt downloading or anything. So now tell me, what is the difference between these two games? RBS3:BA has Xbox Live 3.0 and RBS3 has Xbox Live 2.0 or 1.0. Ok, so what was the point of that? Now think, what about Halo 2. People have been complaining about how long it takes to log in. Think about what version of Xbox Live is on the disc....Xbox Live 3.0. So thinking about all that, games with Xbox Live 3.0 could be a MS backdoor for the Xbox to scan for LPC points, unsign code (I doubt this one), bigger harddrives, etc. If you dont beleive me on the times, try it yourself! Get your lazy ass up and find a game with Xbox Live 1.0 or 2.0 and time yourself on logging in. Then get a game such as Halo 2 that has Xbox Live 3.0 and time yourself. You should see a difference in there somewhere!
