First to understand my test here is my situation.

I had a modded xbox that had been on Live since it came it. I upgraded the HD a month ago. When Halo 2 came out I was banned. To test the marriage theory I replaced the HDD, EEPROM, and Gamertag. It worked and I have been playing on Live just fine for a while now.

My brother just recently bought a new xbox and I am letting him use my old Gamertag (my modded xbox was banned on this one) since he does not have a modded xbox. It is a new 1.6.

Lets call my new gamertag NEWGT and the one my brother uses that has had my modded xbox banned on BANGT.

I noticied when logging into Xbox Live on my BANGT on my brothers xbox it takes almost three times as long to log in compared to on my modded xbox with the NEWGT.

I conducted a test. Both xboxs are in the same room running off the same internet connection during the same period of time. The time was not a "rush hour" or heavy traffic time so the connection speed should have been consistent.

I recorded the time it took for the xbox to login to live from the point of entering my xbox live password to the Halo 2 menu showing up, being logged into xbox live.

BANGT login times:
Six consecutive logins:
18.8 (seconds)
15.5
20.6
5.5
6.2
5.9

NEWGT login times:
Six consecutive logins:
5.4
4.5
4.1
4.4
4.3
4.4

I did the test again the next for the next couple days.

BANGT:
Three consecutive times:
21.8
5.9
5.2

Three consecutive times:
14.3
6.0
5.1

Three consecutive times:
17.9
5.6
5.3

NEWGT:
Always between 4-5 seconds.

It seems that at leas the first time logging in it takes almost triple the time to connect. I believe that in that time period the xbox live service is scanning the HD or doing more extensive checks.

I even figured that maybe only the 1.6 xboxs had a new security feature and it takes longer to login on them. So I tried the banned Gamertag on a 1.4 xbox and the results were the same as above. With the first time taking 15-20 seconds and after that 5-6 seconds.

But here is something interesting... I tried my NEWGT on my brother brand new 1.6 xbox. Its data was the same as the BANGT on same xbox.

This leads me to believe that either I am completely wrong in my thinking or that MS is also flagging xboxs that have been logged in with a Banned GT, so that in the future any Live logons from that xbox are extensively checked.

I am going to try and find an xbox that has never touched either of my GT's and do some tests on it. I will try logging in with my NEWGT and record the times. Then login using my BANGT and record the times. Then go back and login with my NEWGT after using the BANGT on the xbox and see if the results differ.

Hopefully I will have more results soon...

i think its safe to say that they DEFINATLY do more checks on a flagged GT, thats FACT !

but if ya real feel like helping the scene, and are brave !, and have a few eeproms/GT to hand then what ya could fo is this ..

use ya BANGT on a sytem thats stock like ya been doing make sure all is well ..
then chip this box, thats all, just a chip (with a ext. switch to switch chip on/off) leave the software as is ..
and use it see if it gets banned (over 24hours).... this will prove/disprove the LPC check

ok, then make the chip use the eject trick to switch on/off this is the second LPC/Chip check theory

then next test. unlock and relock ya HDD (this will test the master password of TEAMASSEMBLY theory)

now this is when it gets dicey ...
the software tests !! .. slowly put stuff on F, then E, then C (do not touch the dash, use a disk for FTP purposes)
and leave over 24 houtrsinbetween each test

and somewere along that line of tests, will tell use what they check on a flagged GT !

THIS IS WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE BY SOME1 !! to prove/disprove all teh theorys !

The time has nothing to do with such. Maybe Live is busy when you are trying to log in? I get all sorts of different Xbox Live access times on my stock XBox. Some really fast, and some slow.

i'm pretty sure the gamertags aren't flagged. i just got off the phone with xbox live support cause i was cancelling my account but i wanted to ask some questions before i cancelled. so i asked if my gamertag was flagged and the person told me that there isn't anything on my GT and he ran a bunch of checks to see like in diff places if my GT could have anything bad on it and he said no. so it is just my xbox that is banned... time for new eeprom and change of hdkey/info

Yesterday i unbanned my other xbox & Swapped hdd, Copied over old GT that has had 2 xbox's banned, Tested on the M$ dash ok, Played H2 on my virgin xbox for a while, I didn't want to play any games on unbanned just login/out, Checked unbanned xbox again and was ok, went back to virgin xbox and H2.
After logging it in 2 times i started gettin long delays going into friends, It failed to join partys and i got 4 communication errors from nowhere, Logging in took 10+ seconds, Eventually i got fed up with that and decided to try unbanned xbox again, What do ya know but banned instantly, They had my GT flagged for sure and im positive that all the communication errors were infact them probing/who knows what to the xbox, Oh well be careful now

I can add to this that I boot my MS bios off my modchip, since my tsop only boots when it feels like it lol, and havent been banned with a newly set up stock drive. So no lpc checks as of yet. Nor do they know where the bios loaded from. Or they just dont care..

Yes, these tests are very important. We just need someone to run all the tests Gadget listed above.. maybe we should start a pool so that we can pay for some eeproms for a well-known member to use in the tests?

They got me when i went from my new tag back to my old one too they are flaggin tags dont believe me use ur banned tag on a modded box and then tell us how u doin in a cple days
