I just wonderd. Did you actually ever call the xbox live center to complain?

If you call up, say you have been banned for "no" reason. Then find out the reason they banned you.

If they ask if your xbox is modded simply say NO how the hell will they be able to tell? Come round to your house and LOOK?    

Just act the fool,    ya know "whats a modchip?" "what do you mean hard drive?"and "it was a present for my birthday, I really wanted a PS2 but got this"  

If you strongly argue the fact that your xbox is NOT modded and that you have been banned for no reason Im sure you can get some information that would be helpfull to everyone

Haven't been this forum for a while. Seems like there were already plenty of xbl people been banned like I do.

As you see the time i post, 1.5 hrs ago i was banned.
And here's my xbox info:
Crystal (v1.6)
xecuter2.6 with m8
120G of hdd (WD brand)

A pal of mine post here that he was banned too... we aint doing anything wrong and it was working good like 3 month for me.

I bought Halo 2 last night, and logged in an played with no problems. I also played the "other version". I cleaned the game save from my HD before using the good copy. I have a 1.0 version using an x-ecuter chip, with the disable switch.

i also have evox on my C drive, and the HD is the stock 8 gig.

The game save should not ban you. The game save works on the leaked french, English and the original. I had all three on my drive, and I still havent been banned. My hard drive though is stock. The other thing that I might have done that is different, is I first played the single campaign mode with my save before I went on LIVE. Maybe that changed it. Also to note, I have all my evox stuff on E: and not on C:. It is still there.

Simply people need to stop being so dumb and saying its the Halo2 saved games... it cant be think how many legitimate people have Halo 2 out there for Review and Testing.
If M$ started baning the Boxes of Magazines think what great reviews they would get !! They CANT do that it would be Media suicide.

BTW i'm NOT saying that Halo 2 does not have anything to do with the Bannings, as it does look like it has somthing to do with the HD scanning.... maybe.

Update here. Still on live as of 6 pm last night which means about 13 hours so far. 160 gig maxtor hd , xenium ice chip, 1.4 halo le box. NEVER used xbox live untill I signed up 5 days ago. Use unleashx which is named to evoxdash.xbe. Have crap all over c:\ & f:\ and played french version before (deleted game / saves / e:\cache) before installing new halo 2.

Friends box, 1.0 tsop flashed, split with 4981 bios and original bios. 200 gig maxtor hd, Never singed up for live untill 4 days ago. Uses unleashx and has progs all over c:\ / e:\ and had french version also. We both are still going strong.

Although to tell you the truth. I think live is pretty crappy. The way you have to use that matchmaking crap is stupid. I have only gotten to play one team slayer match which ended in like 2 min. The rest is always some stupid bomb or ctf single flag crap. I cant wait for the new xbox connect b/c I have a feeling I will be using that instead of live. Thank god its just a trial.

I just signed up for live yesterday. I am using an X3 with a WD 160 Gb drive on a 1.6 xbox.  All my apps are installed to C and E.  I played on live last night 3 seperate times turning the xbox off each time.  I booted my xbox this morning and signed into the Live Account management with no problems.

why wait for xbc? you can play with a couple hundred people on kai right now.

I have a wrench to throw in the works.  I put my XBL account on a memory card to use at my brother's and best friend's houses.  If we want to play XBL there, I just log in on their xbox's and we have at it online.  

My question is this: If MS is using the serial numbers and EEPROMS to ban, then why wasn't I banned earlier in the year when I was using my XBL account on others' xboxs.  Their serials aren't the same as mine.  The only thing I can think of is MS is linking my EEPROM to my HDD specifically, leaving my brother's EEPROM and HDD linked seperately as well, and when I changed mine, they screwed me.  In that case, I'd just need a new HDD and EEPROM, not neccesarily a new XBL account.  Thoughts?

XBL accounts are deisgned to be used on different boxes///ie round your mates house etc. But what i think what people are getting at is this:

When you sign in on your XBL account from any give xbox it does a couple of things:

Grab the serial #
and the HDD serial (or some other UID type thing).

The next time you sign in from that xbox it will check to see if the serial from the xbox and the HDD are the same as they were the last time you signed in from that account.

I think thats what people are getting at...but i am not 100% sure. To be honest no one really knows whats going on bar MS themselves.

Until someone actually works out what is really going on and what info MS is using to work out who has modded boxes and who has unmodded boxes then there is not a whole lot we can really do.

On kai, is there a new one out where you dont have to sit at your computer and join games or can you do everything from your xbox? Thats the only good thing I like about live so far.

After several rounds of halo2 on live last night, i am STILL able to login to live today. All XYZ diagnostic codes are the same as they always have been. I am using an x3 w/ 1957 bios, WD 120GB SE drive (installed shortly after logging into live for the first time nearly 2 yrs ago), C/E partitions are identical to the stock hdd, with all my apps and dashboards loading from F. Although i did play the french version's multiplayer mode, I never played it single player... dont know if that has anything to do with the pre 11/9 save game creation or not.

As of now, 20 hours, im still fine. Im begining to think they arent scanning hd sizes b/c if they were, i'd be done by now. My friend will test his when he gets home in 2 1/2 hours. I want be entirely sure im safe untill at least a couple of days.
