Well don't be saying "November 8th is the Ban Day!".. it is confusing and can mis-lead users.

People are always, always posting that they were banned without accessing Live with the modchip on. This is nothing new.

But, hey, we'll see.. But honestly, if there was a true banning day.. there would be a lot of peolple posting. A lot

Hey, i did a quick scan of this thread, and didn't see anything concerning the 200 maxtor hdd in the topic starts box.  I thought they ban you eventually if you have anything larger than a 10 GB hdd in your box?  Is that a false statement or something?  I remember hearing that once on the scene...

i have a 200gb hitachi lockable.

i believe that theory was debunked.  but who knows.  the only thing i can see it being would be saved games or the drive.

i am gonna resolder the chip and put my save games on the stock drive and see if i get banned or not.

Well i was banned today November 8.  Never signed on with chip on, i have a 120 gig hard drive with 2.3 pro chip.  Really good feeling the day befor Halo 2. Thinkin about just buyin a new xbox and trying to move over my xbox live account.  If that doesnt work, shoot just buy a new xbox live account.

tongue.gif ),  and just signed up for XBLive.  I've been using my original HDD, with THClite blue mod, XBMC, and stepmania loaded onto the HDD.  For the last 3 days, I've played for about 3-5 hours total, and no ban so far.  So I'm happy, i guess.  I want to drop my 160 back in, since it has all my emulators and crap on it, but I don't wanna be banned.

Another thing I have done is put a half of a black marble on the power button to my xbox, so I have to press eject to turn it on.  When my xbox turns on, since the cd tray is open, it always loads my dash.  If it's blue, the mod is on (duh  tongue.gif ), if the dash is green, I guess I'm safe.

Well, I'll wait till around December I guess and see what the final verdict of Halo 2 on live + large HDD comes out too.

I guess it would hurt to encourage others to try the same, but I think that would just be ignorant. lol,  gl guys.  Don't forget, zodiak sell unbanned epproms on the Buy and Sell forum on the xbox-scene for $8.

just got back form getting h2... first time ever not being able to connect to live.. banned.... hardware modified.

edit: MOTHER FUCKER... guess ill go to meijers and get a new xbox

go into the troubleshooting section in the dash and see if it gives you a mod error

yeah I was just focking banned too. I get the collectors edition and get home and try to sign on to live and it says I may have modified hardware or software. thats bull, I have never signed on with my modchip on and I have auto sign in turned off and I just signed on last night to see if I was baned or not and I was able to sign on just fine. Im pissed!!!.

m8_16 bios
same stock eeprom
same stock 10gig HD
xbox live...
playing Halo as we speak....oh so not banned

look to your HDs, anything active other than the c,d and e are prolly being scaned...
