Ok i got banned from XBL when i accidentaly went on XBL while i was using my xenium and unleashx. So i bought an unbanned eeprom.. worked for a few days. Then i get banned again this time i only used XBL with the retail kernel.
I dont know why i got banned this time. other than they scanned me.
Maybe had my gamertag marked.

Gamertags are not marked, and HDs are not scanned.

Same thing just happened to me, and a friend of mine. We both had replaced our eeproms, me just recently and him a couple weeks ago. All of a sudden today we are banned. I am starting to think this is more than a coincidence. Has this happened to anybody else?

Edit: Is there something we could have done when flashing our eeproms that would have caused a problem?

I couldn't seem to connect on Live today even though I had a replaced EEPROM earlier.

Thank god I didn't have the live checking devices or I would of been whipped.

Well another unusual thing is that Avalaunch isn't doing the streaming news stories on the dashboard yet Media Player seems to be fine on the news lead streaming.

I was also banned this morning @ 12:30 am, I had reflashed my 1.6 eeprom and it has been working fine for the past month.  I did  not go online when my chip was on. All I can remember is that I went to my friends house and copied FIFA 2005 on to my xbox hard drive, played the game by loading it from my hdd, I had no ethernet cable attached to my xbox at my friends house, but when I came home and launched msdash without the modchip on, inserted my madden 2005 to play some xbox live, i was informed that my i could not connect to xbox live because my hardware or software had been banned.????

I am now looking for another 1.6 eeprom to reflash, does anyone have one that is unbanned for 1.6 version xbox?

thanks!

This also happend to me when attempting to play FIFA 2005.  There were no updates for Xbox Live in the past few days.  I had been playing the PAL version of Fifa 2k5 for a month or so and then purchased the NTSC version this past wednesday.  I played quite a few games on Live on wednesday, and then when attempting to sign on to Live via FIFA 2k5 last night I was then banned.  Could FIFA be responsible maybe...?

Doubtfull. I have never played Fifa 2005 on my box and I am banned. Question is, is it just previously banned people that got canned, or is it everyone that has a mod chip that got banned? If it is the first, maybe M$ has a list of eeprom#'s associated with gt's and they just did an across the board ban. Dunno.. it'll be interesting to see what happens and what is happening.

I can log onto Xbox Live just fine as we speak, and I've been playing FIFA as well.  I don't think any of the possible reasons listed so far are the cause.

Just out of curiousity... do you guys yell or swear alot while playing?  No need to answer, but that is also a bannable offense on Live if you read the ToU agreement.

Or perhaps one of the live aware games connected when you didnt notice... it happens to the best of us, thats why i've been running a BIOS that blocks live while the mod chip is on, it's fool proof.
