Live With Foreign Games

Hi,

I have a PAL xbox and I pre-ordered a NTSC game (original no backup) that supports live.
Is it possible to go live with a NTSC game on a PAL console? a region hack to the bios or something? otherwise I'll have to wait another month for the game to come out here, and I allredy waited for so long  :(  ;)

Using any non-MS BIOS on Live will get you banned.
Sorry, you'll have to wait. It's possible that the game will be supported through tunneling services in the meantime, though.

I just changed the region from my eeprom from "PAL, Region 4" to "NTSC, Region 1" wit configmagic. Now my pal games don't boot anymore. the ms dashboard says it's an invalid region game, so maybe it will work???  :o

I don't care If I can't play my pal games cause they all suck. I just want to play that original NTSC game (live)

I hope it will work...

I hope it works for you too. Since you flashed a new EEPROM, the worst that will happen is your NTSC EEPROM will get banned, and you can go back to the prior setup.
I'd be interested if this does work, as my import Phantom Dust just came in.

Let me know how Phantom Dust is ? Were you able to unlock the "english ver" supposedly that exists in the game ?

phantom dust is sweet!  the language depends on your dash settings .. so ya its all in english :]  a bunch of us play on xlink every night .. www.teamxlink.co.uk .. sweet game .. advice: play 1 player offline until such time as you can purchase and build up an arsenal , makes online play waaay better, plus if someone hosts a game that needs arsenals you can't join if u don't have one .. later.
