Yo langhal, your method seems a bit easier and I would like to try it out. The only problem is, I have no friends with Xbox Live so I can't copy their files. Would it be possible for you to send me yours? I also think I need help with the process. If you can e-mail me back or just respond to this I'd really appreciate it. My e-mail is [email protected]. Could somebody please explain langhal's post to me on how to fix it. And if possible would somebody be able to send me the files needed from the C: and E: drive. Will the one's from Slayers work?

Hey, I'm away from home on vacation, I could probably help some of you out when I get back next week, but right now I have less than a 28.8 dialup connection, so I'm a bit restricted.

revenge: not sure what news you're talking about? I usually read up regularly but don't make it my life. I do know it's a common understanding that MS is not doing anything about xbox's with non retail harddrives or extra software for that matter on their xbox's. Wouldn't make sense to me for MS to do anything right now, unless they want to cut down sales of live renewals and retail games.

Let me know if anyone else on here has gotten my method to correctly fix their "xbox live not found" problems

I got the same error. I used the C files from Slayers so maybe that's why but I didnt think it would make a difference. Damnit I just want to play online!!

Revenge not sure what you are talking about the c$ directory?? If your talking about the normal C drive, this get's repartioned and formated completely there's nothing deep and hidden in this. People have been modding live enabled xbox's for a couple years now with non original hard drives and dashboards backed up via ftp from their original drives. If their were some unacessable files this wouldn't be possible and no new dashboard has prevented this as I have modded several xboxs with the newest dashboard and large unoriginal hard drives that work with live.

We need someone that is familiar with the eeprom and hard disk original specifications, to determine what inconsistencies are causing the reported xyz codes, as of yet this issue hasn't gotten any help from homebrew developers, and until then you'll have to kinker around till you find something that works for you.

I had the same problem as all of you i have a linksys wireless router and a linksys wireless adapter hooked up to my xbox just get the Firmware Version: v2.02.7
installed and turn of the Upnp and its done for you xbox live works perfectly now no problems!
(I have centurytel as the ISP)

It definately isn't the problem we are having. I have tried hooking directly to the cable modem and it hasn't worked so it has to be on the xbox side of the xbox live connection. Something on the C drive must have been corrupted somehow.

Actually I had this exact problem...Xbox Live Not Found..blah blah blah. Don't worry about your netwrok setup, because that's not the problem. I bought an EEPROM and exchanged it with mine, and it fixed the problem. Just try an EEPROM...buy a dead xbox MoBo off ebay...something like that. It's the EEPROM, definitely. No ifs and or buts about it.
