I've also got this problem. My specs:

XBox 1.3 with Xenium Solderless
200gig HD
COMPATIBLE Linksys router, tried numerous firmwares
Tampa Bay Roadrunner Cable

Haven't bothered with Live since I modded my XBox over four months ago. Tried to reactivate it for NFL2k5, but I cannot connect. Same problem as all mentioned here. I know I'm doing everything right.. the HD is locked and such. I don't seem to be banned.

I hope I can have this running tommorrow so I can join the online league my friends are running..

I know what you guys are talking about, it happened to me a long time ago
i just can't remember what it was. it has somthing to do with evox IP setings
changing some MS dash network setting maybe DNS or something you would not normally think of.
also i think i had to reboot the router and the cable modem (TB.RR)

this is what i use;

SetupNetwork   = Yes
StaticIP    = No
Ip      = 192.168.002.020
Subnetmask    = 255.255.255.000
Defaultgateway   = 192.168.002.001
DNS1      = 0.0.0.0
DNS2      = 0.0.0.0
SetupDelay    = 100
SkipIfNoLink    = No

and that might have screwed me over. I just got a new eeprom and im gonna give that a try and see what happens. I'll post later and let u guys know.

Ok I got mine fixed. The enigmah video select or rewriting the eeprom did not fix the problem. I was getting a C2 and AAAF for my xbox live Y code, with it saying Xbox Live Not Found.

I got Avalaunch Net Prep to repartition and format the drive. I then ftped to avalaunch on a different xbox where live was working correctly and transfered all the ms dash files onto my computer. I also copied the newest version of avalaunch on to my computer into that same c drive back up directory. I then ftped to the xbox where live wasn't working and copied all the contents from my e drive to a backup e directory on my computer. After this I setup ava net prep as directed with a samba share that included these c and e directories I had just created. I also took out the no format, so it would repartition and format the drive.

After I put the cd in the xbox and it ran it's course, I once again could connect on live with the xbox I was having the formentioned errors on.

Also note I used config magic to unlock the hard drive before doing this, once net prep finish I used config magic to relock the drive.

Only thing I can guess is the new slayers doesn't correctly partition or format all hard drives.

That's not good news Langhal1. I have tried re0formatting my XBOX and still the same thing. What do you suggest that we do? This sucks and I really want to get onto XBOX live!

I'm thinking it's network/FTP options within Evox/Ava. I also have Slayers, and also did an install for a large HD. I've also still got my original dash IIRC.

did you reformat with ava net prep? also did you get a copy of the ms dash files from someone with a xbox that is working on live?

Langhal1, Can you tell me what ava net prep is, how it is different that formatting with Slayers disk, and where to get it? I would really appreciate this info as I have tried any and everything that I possibly can to get my XBOX live up and working. I do have the files from my XBOX BEFORE I installed Slayers program (XBOX live working, I backed it up) so after I format with this ava net prep then I will try copying those files over again. Also do you think that you can tell me where to get configmagic from as everybody seems to be secretive about telling me how to get this program! Thanks for all of your help!

cant just format the hdd it wolnt delete the c$ directory it wolnt fix anything you cant just drag the files back on their the c$ directory is inbedded into everything and a currupt file a bug which MS has implemented into their newer dashes makes that file once on that hdd after doing the clone. with xbox_clone.zip it will be fine. for people that use net prep and if it works great. their isnt an easier way at the moment this is a 3-5 hour proccess. so dont bitch and try to do which i already know doesnt work if you bitch. i will contact the staff and have them delete your ridiculous post or see that you do not post on xbox-scene again. read and if questions havnt been asked and answered then ask or answer if they have dont ask the same fuking question

I felt better about not being able to play live after reading this 6 page thread.........but I'm still sad I can't lay the smackdown on nfl2k5.

I just finished modding my box on Tuesday. Copied a game...played some games, but when I went to LIVE.......I couldn't get to live. I later found out that my xbox loads evox with mod enabled or disabled. I can't get the MS dash to comeup at all. If anyone has suggestions on that....let me know.
