Updated Ms Dash By A Copied Game

My Ms Dash was updated accidently by a game running on HDD. (I was very curious to see what would happen at that time--so I choose "xbox live" in the game). After that there were some changes to my Ms Dash, such as new language options like traditional chinese.

That game might be Splinter Cell (I am not really sure), and I could not remeber whether I used a US version of it. (I am in the US)

So, it is safe for me to go live?

PS: I am deeply sorry about my other post which has been locked. I posted same question again because I did not see my first post when I refreshed the forum (then I thought I did not click the POST button.) I have been on the forum for a rather long time and I really dont want to break the forum rules. sorry again.

So your running a game off the hdd, updated live, and then clicked on live?  I'd say your banned.  It's only safe to go on live with the modchip off which means the game can't be running off the hdd.

I dont have live acount yet. I think I "accidently" click the live option in a game and it updated my dash. (My xbox was off line at that time I think, the game change my dash by itself, not from online.)  
I am going to buy a xbox live kit. Do I need to change my dash back? (too bad I didnt back up my c: drive)

Don't need to change the dash back, it's the same files that update the dash.

Just curious, was your xbox hooked with a cat-5 cable to the net and all at the time of the upgrade?

 Yes, But the cable from my xbox dis not hooked to my router. It is hooked to a NIC on my PC, and my PC is hooked to a router. I usually does not open ICS on my pc (unless to play ps2 online or update the Gentooxx on my xbox)
So, YES, there was a cable hooked to my xbox when I did that. But my xbox was still OFF LINE at that time.
