Whats Up With The Xbconnect Window?

My setup is with a cat5e running from the xbox to my router then i have a cable running from the router to the NIC on my computer.
I just wanted to know Why when i double click on a server when trying to play halo 2 the window it brings up that means its connecting to host then it just closes by itself.  I have the xbox on the right screen . I just want to know what are the possible causes for this and how to fix it. Thanks for your help. :huh:  ;)
