WOW! All this stuff is so interesting! I just recently sold my xbox for a second ps2 (with the apple 2 V2 cause I liked it so much in my other PS2, I like to network (i-link) my PS2's with all my different games like GT3 and stuff, I'm a BIG racing game fan! CHECK OUT V-RALLY-3 FOR PS2! IT ROCKS! lol) but now that the xbox linux project is coming along so nicely I'm really upset for trading it! I don't know jack about hacking or the xbox moding scene. I don't know an eeprom form a MAC assress but it all sounds so interesting! I wanna get another xbox and put linux on it and run a PC SOF2 games server! Would that be possible? With XBOX Mandrake loaded up on the xbox does the built in ethernet function just like a normal network card and be hooked up to other pc's and use tcp-ip and such? It seems to me that buying a 200 dollar xbox (about as good as a 4 or 500 dollar pc!) and loading linux on there and using it as a cheap server/workstation could save me a lot of money and make it possible for me to start up my SOF2 server! I was wondering also, is there an official/unofficial keyboard and/or mouse out that I could buy so I don't need to splice a xbox controller extention cord with a USB cable to use a "pc" USB keyboard on Mandrake XBOX linux? I plan on using my PS2's while the games are so good and pletifull and when the xbox hits it's stride switching over like I did from DC to PS2. I sold my xbox because there just isn't enough games for it right now, and the price is low enough (and the resale price is very decent! I got 150.00 for my xbox!) that when I want to get another it won't be too difficult. I know there is SOME good games for it but nowhere near the amount of quality games (esspecially from 3rd party devs) to compare to the awesome library of the PS2! I'm waiting unless you hackers can come up with a way to put windows on the xbox I'll be all over that!

you can't unban a banned eeprom.

just get a unbanned eeprom from a friend or ask for one in xbox chatrooms.

si witch eepmod it unbanned the eeprom to change the adress mac but it not ok always banned

if a eeprom is already banned, changing the mac address won't unban it.

you will just have to get a unbanned eeprom.

well i have officially been banned from live..i think. i havent used my xbox on live since the tuesday before they started banning everyone of launch week. i have'nt even had it hooked up to my router while in the dash. yesterday i locked my new hd, and made sure the matrix was off then went and tried to sin in to live with mech assault. it said xbox live not found when it went to the dash check. so i figure im banne right ? now i an get another eeprom easily, but i will wait and make sure that this is working for everyone.

were u using the same eeprom as someone else or were you using ur own.

you are banned if it sais "xbox live not found." You can reflash ur xbox with a unbanned eeprom & become unbanned so if you can get one easy then reflash ur xbox & then ur got xbox live back

Look at your xyz codes first. You may just have an incorrect setup (firewall/etc).  Especially since you have supposedly not used mod + Live since the new live dash install...

if i put a switch on my chip and turn it off, and have nothing modded on the c:\ am i able to go on xbl? with legit games of course.

It dosn't matter what you have on C:\ as long as you have all the original files, and the original dash named xboxdash.xbe, right?

You can unhook the network cord and not have to worry about being banned.  If you try to connect to Xbox Live with your cord disconnected you will not be flagged.

The EEPROM being used will be banned, meaning both of you will be looking for a new EEPROM to share.

For now this is true, but I a scared that MS might start checking the contents of c: for dashes like EVOX or NeXgen, so I have mine set to F: Boot

Alkane, did you get my email about that BIOS swap TSR you were working on?  I'd really like to get more details from you.  I'm thinking that the random crashes you're encountering may be caused by bad vector table entries or broken pointers.  Can you shoot me a mail at [email protected]?
