Should be using Jrunner to do everything. If you can get to xell then you should be able to write the new dash after you get the CPU key. Writing with LPT could be the issue as it takes forever to write.

No offense ... really. But you are sort of all over the place.

You might want to slow down and re-assess. Go back and check over the tutorials. RGH 2 is probably what you have to do. But the direction for that comes from the Nand info. Your CB and the other progressive lines.

Use Jrunner 288. Use a TX Nandx or JR programmer. Don't LPT it. More hassles than what its worth.
Set CoolRunner to Program.

Read Nand. Flash Coolrunner. - But before that, double check your connections.

If you have Xell - then the ECC portion is probably fine.

Create the Image with the Dash you want loaded.

If you are not using a Nandx or JR - you might not be getting that Pre Flash into the CR

If Xell boots up fine, put your hacked image on a usb drive and let it update there.
You need to name the file updflash.bin and put it on a fat/fat32 formatted drive.

But to answer one of your other questions yes you can just jump to the latest dashboard when building your hacked image from 13599.
