Use Of Xk3y With An Xbox Using Modified Firmware
« on: August 22, 2012, 11:06:00 AM »

All it needs is your drive key injected into the original image for your drive, this file is then stored on the microsd card of the xk3y. You dont need to restore your drive back to an original image.
The xk3y then uses the image file to determine all responses (unless in passthrough mode), i.e. what type of drive to emulate and dvdkey to use.

This worked fine for my old phat Hitachi 78.

-- after reading the query again (damn I should read more)

if you are referring to retrieveing the drive firmware automatically, I dont have a clue as the Hitachi 78 isnt supported for that
