now that is a common conversation on xbox live.  let me say that I don't mind snipers but I hate people who will sit and wait with their snipers and they don't help their team in any other way.  you see this alot.  it also shows that people use the word "bitch" alot in this game and it gets old fast.  <

Really camping is impossible with the new HDTV's all around I can spot someone in bloodgutch everywhere and because the bullet from the sniper leaves a ''trail'' after being fired the teammates will know from where the shot came.

Just hop into the ghost and watch out for the rocket launcher, dude.

i hate both, but i really hate snipers who claim to be good at the games based on their sniping kills... how fun is it to sit in one spot for 8 minitues?!?!!? <_<   <

i won't go that far.  Some snipers are incredible and that is skill.  I've seen snipers that can get headshots EVERY time while on the move from a crazy-long distance.  And as much as I hate playing against them, I have to admit they have alot of skill to pull off some of those shots.  <

Ouch.... my head hurts, I think I'm having a Counter Stike Flashback! Damn campers. I would rather suck at a game in stats then sit on my ass the whole time. Its not the numbers that make a man, its the man that makes the numbers.

Why is a camper like the spawn of the devil or something?  It's not my style, but I don't look down on it.  If a person stays in one spot, they generally will get killed easily.

The only prob is when you get a camper that is a good sniper and the guy on your team that ran and took the sniper sucks horribly.     <

I completely second that motion except for hating to play with them. I love it.

Lame sniper - hide behind rock all day getting 2 shot kills.

Good Sniper - moves downrange and assists team all the while getting jumping headshots and blowing up vehicles.

But to be honest on levels like ascension its pretty hard to not camp with the sniper rifle due to the levels tiny size and open air design. Midship you can move more freely because its sealed but not as much in Ascension.

Camping is just another fallback strategy that everyone needs to learn to deal with and get around. Anybody ever play ctf BG halo 1 against an extremely good team? Enough to make you want to cut your own throat but you evolve and develop counter moves.  <

whoops didnt see this area before.. i started a thread in the halo 2 section of the game hacking section, i have found quite a few spots good for sniping and getting better angles on places and jumping down on enemies.  not all that easy to explain without pictures, but i'll try to share some later.  also check my thread for some tricks and other things  <

I love fighting against campers.  Sure my deaths will be more than my kills because I like to use the smg and plasma pistol to kill at close range but campers hardly ever win objective games like CTF and Assault.  Its very hard to win going 3v4 all the time because some one on your team wont move two feet.  I reallly hate the people that use the sniper rifle like a regular gun.  One of my friends is so good with it, he just runs around with it and shit and will kill you at close range.    <

I snipe like crazy, then again im not a lil pussy who camps I move around the whole level and I don't stand still when I snipe. And as for the ghost comment feel free to grab them I get headshots on you the easiest.  <
