My equipment is as follows:
XBOX Ver 1.4 or 1.5
Have an X-chip so it is modded
its NTSC american version
has original hard drive in it still!
Samsung dvd drive

ANyways this is my issue! I just received finally halo 2 over here in iraq(im in active us army deployed). Now when i first ran halo 2 in my xbox i disabled my mod chip so it wouldnt even load just the regular xbox bios! When i started playing the game beginning a new halo campain, when the in game cinimatics are loading u can see it load, I mean during the intro and such u can see the xbox was lagging loading the textures and graphics for not only the in game cinimatics but also like when u start to play the game on first level and through out other levels, u can see the xbox lag in loading textures, and sprites and polygons. once they are loaded the game runs fine and everynow and then it reloads the textures while u are playing so u can see it and this is kind of annoying. also does this in multiplayer, when i did split screen with my roomie right when u begin on a slayer multiplayer mode/map right when it shows your screen and yer starting the level in gamne u can see it load the textures on everything. Is this a bug? is it my xbox? could it be a bad game disc i got from bungie? i bought the collectors edition set and the game disc looks fine on the data side accept for a weird way they burned it which u can see like rings which are the layers of data i guess.

I dont get any read errors or dirty disc errors, my xbox works wonders with every other game i own. this is the first game that i can see lag in loading the graphics for everything and then see it lag by placing the graphics and textures on things in the game. Could it be the cache settings of halo 2 that cache the game to the hard drive or maybe halo 2 doesnt cache the game at all? my hard drive the original xbox 8 gig is kinda full could that be it? has anyone else seen this or notices this please let me know! i dont want to be the only one with this issue  <

There's nothing wrong with your box.  Happens to everybody.  Its only for a split second when the maps load most of the time.  Don't worry about it.  Enjoy the game and happy holidays.    <
