Okay, I was surfing through the bungie.net FAQs http://www.bungie.net/News/TopStory.aspx?s...eklyupdatenov19 and there were a few decent questions in there.  Just to clear up some stuff, it says the legendary credits and normal credits are exactly the same and thre is no Feb 9th in there.  It also said that there is an update for the playlist coming out soon that should add more team slayer which is a big plus for me and some shit like that.

But also, it says that the Covenant werent at Earth to invade but found it on accident.

Phore asks: Why wasn't there an invasion of earth like promised in all the trailers and stuff? The actual game didn't have an invasion at all!

SPOILER WARNING: If you pay attention to the plot, you'll note that the Covenant very distinctly did NOT have a full invasion force and seemed somewhat surprised to find the human Homeworld. Seems to me, from watching the cinematics, that the Covenant were in our solar system searching for something else…

at the end of the game when keys is talking to guilty spark about all the other halos being prepped and you would need to go somewhere in order to activate them, I got the impression that that place was Earth.  So I'm guessing thats what your gonna do on earth in Halo 3, and why else would the prophet's ship that MC hitched a ride on go there?

Haha, but i'm not gonna be surprised if all thats a bunch of bullshit ph34r.gif

Ummm, o yeah... that was a spoiler. rolleyes.gif   <

I'm assuming that Eric Nylund wasn't given so much creative freedom with his books as to make things up.  In First Strike Cortana reads the Covenant messages and finds out that they know where Earth is.  Why would they then be surprised to find Earth?  Unless maybe they found the location of the Ark, but didn't know that it was Earth...  <

anybody read that letter in the Halo LE case? its a small booklet full of conversations and 2 or 3 "handwritten" letters. The one about this archeologist saying something about finding something "alien" but definitely not of Covenant origin. Maybe thats the ark? I can scan up the page if you want.  <

I dunno, but from the big theatrical preview I was expecting to team up with the covvies against some unstopable foe on Earth.   rolleyes.gif

Instead we get a storyline that isn't as cool.   unsure.gif

Oh well.  Was still awesome.   beerchug.gif   <
