I went through the second hangar today (thats where I had stopped my single player legendary) and was able to do it in one shot with no grenades. Just take out those grunts w/ a shot to the head from your battle rifle then finish the elites with a quick pop from the plasma pistol and a headshot from the battle rifle. If you run out of ammo for the battle rifle there is a full one located behind one of the shields in the hallway leading into the second hangar (where the stationary gun that does you NO GOOD is located) and there is another one where the stairs are to the second level of the second hangar (should also be 3 frags there I think).

FINALLY!!!! I passed the second hangar without throuwing a single grenade!!!! It was easier than I thought. I just stayed behind the first large crate and did this plasma gun/head shot combo one elite by one. Done!!! Now let´s move downstairs!!!!

Yeah me too i passed this dumb part . This is what i did........
I had taken care of all the grunts already . You dont want the plasma shot flying towards those idiots. Well I had like 7 elites to take care of . I went upstairs past the corpse with the three frags and went out the sliding doors. If you turn right and look all the way down there are two crates at the end past the alien gun turret stations. if youre afraid of being raped by the time you get to those two small crates well keep jumping! I figured out that they cant shoot worth crap if you just keep double jumping by pressing the squat button while youre in the air repeatedly.  Ok you there well you better have a full plasma gun, the three frags and maybe a couple of plasmas and a full battle rifle. Ok it can be done without the as many grenades . maybe 1 or two. remember the elites cant shoot in the air well. Youll hardly get shot. plus that little pussy  floor shield they hide behind is useless there is only like once spot for them to hide and that is this big crate. thats what the frags are for to flush em out . Well what you do is what until one of them is dumb enough to single himself out meaning theres no one thats too close to him so that when you shoot the plasma shot it goes to him and not some punk next to him because you migh tget your battle rifle shot thrown off because this strategy requires quickness. well thoise crates provide perfect cover just punch into place if you feel a pot shot might go beteween them. Ok what you do is charge up your plamsa and keep jumping and wait until one of em gets kinda close and bam let it fly then very quickly switch to the battle rifle and pop him as close to the head as possble. Dont do this on sword boy cuz he aint worth your amma once you take care of all em go down stairs get an smg  and unload a clip into sword boy . Thats it!

Oh yeah is youre daring enough like me and you have some plasma grenades you can also sneak up on them because once they loose sight of you they get back into a set position if youre lucky they might all be facing away from you and you can throw a couple of plasmas on those punks to take em out . but you better jump like hell outta there because you wont get em all. The double wielding idiots require two grenades magically. One grenade knocks off there shields and and if you hurt em bad enough hell chase you with his sword. Have an smg close by for him. This strategy works only sometimes . The key is patience there is no quick way out. oh yeah kill the grunts theyll ruin everything.

Yeah, it took me a few times to realize that those dual-wielding guys also carried energy swords. The first one or two times they killed me I kept going "I KNOW there were no elites out there with swords!!!".
