The game is trying to install the latest dashboard update which rewrites the firmware on the drive back to stock. You should flash back to stock firmware for pre 13146 (if your dashboard version is still lower than that) then install the update from the game disc. If all goes well it should play the latest originals. Then if you want to be able to play backups again you will need to flash to the latest ixtreme firmware which is currently LT 2.0.

Simply, the Madden 2012 disk and microsoft update are DOING THE SAME THING!  They are simply trying to update your console to the latest dashboard.  So it doesn't matter which way you go as long as it's updated.  BUT, to update the console you have to flash the DVD drive back to stock.

Make sure you have a copy of your DVD key BEFORE flashing the DVD drive back to stock!  This is important.  Well, you need a copy of it anyway to flash it back to stock.  Then you update your 360 with Madden 2012 or online update.  Once the update is complete, then you flash your DVD drive to LT+ 2.0.

hello all been gone from the scene for awhile no time to play just wanting to get the kids xboxes up to speed.
I have a couple of liteons that I extracted the keys and 1 uses the iso disk on dash 9199 and another that i think i flashed with checks disabled on dash 8955. lol
Last game played was new vegas backup.
These never go online, got other boxes for that.
I stopped staying current when ap came out or the Fable 3 issues.
I just want to be current without security checks because it will never go online, is that possible.
What dash is a minimum or can I go to a hard drive or is that still for jtag boxes?
Sorry for the newb questions maybe just point me in the thread direction, lol
