The modded has not been on Live since I modded it. The latest game I have played on it was Dragon Age 2, if it required and update I have done it (it has the new kinect compatible dash).

The un-modded console is a new 250GB Slim, it definitely has the latest dash and it is always on Live when I turn it on.

I really want to get my saves off but I don't want to mess up my Slim. I really wish I would have made a backup of the saves before I modded but I did not.

Will bringing the saves over somehow corrupt/ban my Slim console?

Moving saves will not get a non-modded box banned.

Alright, thanks I just wanted to make sure. I've read some posts that sounded like this was the answer, but none of them were my exact situation. Thanks.

Would the same apply to profiles?

If I earned achievements on my modded console can I move the profile to a USB Stick and then put it on my un-modded console and have the achievements uploaded to Live? I've earned achievements in parallel on both systems.

Moving profiles shouldn't do any harm.

If you've had a single profile on both consoles (that is, one profile which was copied and kept on both consoles), I do not believe you can combine them. The old profile will not have the same information from Xbox LIVE as the newer one and so will not be able to connect to the LIVE servers as there will be a mismatch between the servers and the profile.

Of course, there can be a lot of variables in a situation like this. It's worth a shot. I can think of no harm that might come from trying and seeing if it will work.

Yea, I guess I kind of want to combine them. I was wondering what would happen if I tried to do that. I mean, they can't take away achievements, right? lol

So at worst, it just wouldn't work, i guess.

They actually can take away achievements, and you'd likely be labeled as a "Cheater" by Microsoft for the whole community to see.

Rule #1 of Modding: Don't Mess with LIVE.

Oh really.... okay then. Maybe I won't get greedy. I'll stick with just getting my saved games over for the games I had before I modded. thanks for your help.

If the console was not uncrippled and the saves have been modified since the console was banned, they would need to be rehashed/resigned in order to work.

I couldn't say. The last time I touched that stuff was almost 18 months ago. Whatever works should be fine.
